Dr. Jason Berglund was born and raised in Connecticut before earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont. He then trained at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston for his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Recognized early for his commitment to academic excellence and clinical research, Dr. Berglund was awarded the Medical Research Scholars Program Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and several prestigious student research honors. He has published in leading medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine and presented his research on rare bone disorders internationally.

He completed a year-long oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia before being accepted into the rigorous residency program at The University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center at Houston. During his six-year training, Dr. Berglund also completed medical school at McGovern Medical School at UT Health, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) while gaining extensive surgical experience at the hospitals within the Texas Medical Center, including one of the nation’s busiest trauma centers.

Dr. Berglund’s comprehensive training spans the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom tooth extraction, dental implants, oral pathology, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, and anesthesia.

Dr. Berglund is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to every patient interaction, striving to deliver compassionate, state-of-the-art surgical care. He is excited to be back in Vermont with his wife and son. He enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his family.
