Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires 4-6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Northern Vermont Oral & Facial Surgery’s doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. Our doctors practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Cosmetic Facial Surgery to Corrective Jaw Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal.
The doctors of Northern Vermont Oral & Facial Surgery (NVOFS) can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries, and perform a full range of Dental Implant procedures.
All four of our surgeons are Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They have received specialized training that qualifies them as a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases, injuries and fractures of the facial region, reconstruction of facial abnormalities, pathologic lesions of the face, preparation of the jaws for dentures including placement of dental implants, surgical root canal therapy, temporomandibular joint disorders, salivary gland disease, as well as the removal of teeth. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also receive specialized training that prepares them to provide these services to you safely using local anesthesia, sedation (drowsy and relaxed), or a general anesthesia (fully asleep). They work in close cooperation with your family dentist and physician in an effort to provide you with the finest dental health care possible. Our staff operates as a team. We are proud of each staff member's training and capabilities. We want you to have confidence in them.
